The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, in collaboration with a Qatari company, is pleased to announce a recruitment drive in Nairobi for various job opportunities available in Qatar. The initiative, led by the Ministry under the guidance of Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred N. Mutua, aims to open doors for Kenyan professionals in the hospitality, service, and construction sectors who are interested in employment abroad.
Available Opportunities
The recruitment drive focuses on filling positions in two main areas:
Hospitality and Service Industry Positions:
Qualified candidates in the following roles are encouraged to attend:
- Nurses
- Commis, Demi Chef, Chef de Partie
- Kitchen Helpers, Bar Backs, and Runners
- Waitresses, Stewarding Supervisors, Kids Attendants
- Hotel Maintenance Technicians
- Light and Heavy Vehicle Drivers
Construction and Technical Roles:
Positions are also available in construction and technical fields, including:
- Machine Operators (Excavators, Cranes, Loaders, etc.)
- Rigger Signalmen, Construction Helpers, Cleaners
- Electricians, Plumbers, Masons, Tile Layers, Steel Fixers
- Painters, Welders, and Scaffolders

For Construction & Technical Roles
- Venue: Kabete National Polytechnic
- Dates: Friday, October 25 – Sunday, October 27, 2024
- Time: From 7:30 am (Interviews and practical tests will be conducted)
Required Dress Code and Documentation
Applicants should present themselves professionally, wearing black and white formal attire or overalls where applicable. Each candidate must bring:
- A recent CV
- Passport-size photo
- Passport (Those without a passport can secure one with assistance from the employer upon hiring)
