Authorities moved swiftly, apprehending Kamunge later that day amid growing public outrage.
Police reports indicate that Kamunge’s agency, Trust Pin Verified Agency Ltd., collected vast sums from hopeful Kenyans under the guise of securing international employment. “This is a case of exploitation of vulnerable people chasing better opportunities,” a police spokesperson said. “We are investigating the full extent of the fraud and urge other victims to come forward.”
