‘MCHELE Baddie’ Suspect Arrested After Drugging and Robbing Reveller

Detectives in Kilimani, Nairobi, are holding Consolata Nyangai, a suspect notorious for drugging and stealing from revellers at various drinking establishments across the city. The arrest follows a report filed on November 9, 2024, by a Chadian national at Kilimani Police Station.
The complainant reported that he had met Consolata at the popular Gemini and Quivers clubs. After a night of revelry and consuming several drinks, the two retreated to his residence at Spring Gardens Apartments. However, the events took a sinister turn as the victim found himself stupefied, waking up to discover that his companion had made off with USD 4,000, Ksh 10,000, a Samsung S20, and a Corn C105 phone.
Utilizing forensic-led investigation techniques, detectives tracked Consolata to her hideout in the Hunters area of Kasarani sub-county. The operation led to the recovery of the stolen phones, which the victim positively identified. Additionally, detectives found a newly purchased 75″ Samsung TV worth Ksh 107,000 and a Ramtons cooker valued at Ksh 55,000. The items, purchased after the robbery, are believed to be the proceeds of her criminal activities.
Further investigation revealed two national identity cards—one Kenyan and one Ugandan—both featuring different names but the same photograph of Consolata Nyangai. This discovery has raised serious questions about her true identity, which remains under investigation.

Consolata Nyangai is currently in custody at Kilimani Police Station and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, November 18, 2024. This case underscores the importance of vigilance in social settings, especially as urban areas experience a rise in criminal activities leading up to the festive season.
The DCI reminds the public to exercise caution and report any suspicious activities to authorities to prevent falling victim to such schemes.
